Tourist packages by IRCTC: Planning a trip for summer vacation? If yes, then you can choose from various IRCTC tour packages! The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), which is the official e-ticketing and catering arm of Indian Railways is all set to launch several tour packages in the next three to four months. For visiting popular tourist attractions of Goa and Rajasthan, Bharat Darshan Tourist Train is being launched. Also, IRCTC has planned an additional tour to Tirupati Balaji Darshan by Charter Coach. Interestingly, other than national packages, IRCTC also caters to various international tour packages and has launched an all-new ‘Majestic Europe’ package.
The Bharat Darshan Tourist Train will depart on 31 March 2019 from Madurai to visit the famous tourist attractions of Goa, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Ajmer and Udaipur. The train will reach back to Madurai on 10 April 2019. Passengers can also board the train from Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kollam, Shoranur, Kannur, Kozhikode and Kasargod. The package, priced Rs 9,450 per person, will include confirmed train tickets, dormitory/hall accommodation, vegetarian meals (on-board as well as off-board), non air-conditioned transportation arrangements for sightseeing, and services of a tour escort and security. Also, LTC facility is available under this package for state/central/public sector employees.

The Tirupati Balaji Darshan Charter Coach Tour tour will start on 21 March 2019 from Thiruvananthapuram Central and will cover Sri Kalahasti Temple, Tirumala Lord Venkateswara Temple and Tiruchanur Sri Padmavathi Temple. The package, priced Rs 6,665 per person will include confirmed train ticket, accommodation, transportation arrangements for sightseeing, services of an IRCTC Tour Manager and Seeghra Darshan Ticket at Tirumala. Passengers can board this train from Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kollam, Kottayam and Palakkad.
Meanwhile, a newly launched international tour package named ‘Majestic Europe’ will cover various popular tourist attractions in Netherlands, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Italy and Vatican City. The flight for this package, for which price starts from Rs 2,22,000 per person, will depart from Cochin International Airport on 19 May 2019. The package will include confirmed round trip flight tickets in economy class, visa charges as well as processing fees, meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner in Indian restaurants, accommodation in 3 star facility, air-conditioned coach for transfers and sightseeings, english speaking tour guide, services of IRCTC Tour Manager, monument entry tickets, travel insurance along with other applicable taxes.
