Indian Railways to run several Ganpati Festival Special Trains; See full list here

The ticket bookings for these special trains will commence from 8 July 2021 o­n special charges at all PRS centers as well as o­n the IRCTC website.

Ganpati Festival Special Trains: Indian Railways to run several special trains for Ganpati Festival! According to a statement issued by Central Railways, the zone will run 72 special train trips between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT)/ Panvel and Sawantwadi Road / Ratnagiri in order to clear the extra passenger rush during the occasion of Ganpati 2021. The ticket bookings for these special trains will commence from 8 July 2021 o­n special charges at all PRS centers as well as o­n the IRCTC website irctc.co.in. These trains have o­ne AC-2 Tier cum AC-3 Tier, four AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, six second class seating coaches. Following is the list of Ganpati Festival Special Trains:

CSMT-Sawantwadi Road Daily Special (36 trips)
Train Number 01227 special will leave CSMT at 12.20 AM daily from 5 September 2021 to 22 September 2021 and arrive Sawantwadi Road at 2.00 PM same day. While Train Number 01228 special will leave Sawantwadi Road at 2.40 PM daily from 05 September 2021 to 22 September 2021 and arrive CSMT at 04.35 AM next day. En route, the train will halt at Thane, Dadar, Panvel, Roha, Veer, Mangaon, Khed, Chilpun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Aravali Road, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg and Kudal.

CSMT-Ratnagiri Bi-weekly Special (10 trips)
Train Number 01229 bi-weekly special from 6 September 2021 to 20 September 2021 will leave CSMT every Monday and Friday at 1.10 PM and arrive Ratnagiri at 10.35 PM same day. While Train Number 01230 bi-weekly special from 9 September 2021 to 23 September 2021 will leave Ratnagiri every Sunday and Thursday at 11.30 PM and arrive CSMT at 8.20 AM next day. En route, the train will halt at Dadar, Thane (only for Train Number 01229), Panvel, Veer, Khed, Chilpun, Roha, Mangaon, Aravali Road, Sawarda and Sangameshwar Road.

Panvel-Sawantwadi Road Tri-weekly Special (16 trips)
Train Number 01231 tri-weekly special from 7 September 2021 to 22 September 2021 will leave Panvel every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday at 08.00 AM and arrive Sawantwadi Road at 8.00 PM same day. While Train Number 01232 tri-weekly special from 7 September 2021 to 22 September 2021 will leave Sawantwadi Road every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday at 8.45 PM and arrive Panvel at 07.10 AM next day. En route, the train will halt at Roha, Chilpun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Veer, Mangaon, Khed, Aravali Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Kankavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Sindhudurg and Kudal.

Panvel-Ratnagiri Bi-weekly Special (10 trips)
Train Number 01233 bi-weekly special from 9 September 2021 to 23 September 2021 will leave Panvel every Thursday and Sunday at 08.00 AM and arrive Ratnagiri at 3.40 PM same day. Train Number 01234 bi-weekly special from 6 September 2021 to 20 September 2021 will leave Ratnagiri every Monday and Friday at 11.30 PM and arrive Panvel at 06.00 AM next day. En route, the train will halt at Roha, Veer, Mangaon, Khed, Sawarda, Chilpun, Aravali Road and Sangameshwar Road.
