As many as 30 students from India’s top B-schools have been awarded scholarships worth R2 lakh each under a YES Bank programme. The selected scholars will also receive year-long mentorship from YES BANK leaders, according to a press release. Launched in 2015, the ‘YES ASPIRE to INNOVATE’ programme aims at grooming India’s future leaders and entrepreneurs. The third edition of the programme was launched on January 16, 2017. As many as 1,871 students registered for the programme. The top 30 scholars were selected after four rounds of rigorous evaluations. The award ceremony was held at Verbena, Mumbai, on March 24.

The ceremony also witnessed a chat, titled ‘At the Crossroads: Blue Chip Job vs Bootstrapped Startup’, where The Indian Express Group executive director Anant Goenka, Sequoia Capital MD Abhay Pandey and Cipla global chief people officer Prabir Jha shared their insights into emerging trends and evolving landscape of corporates looking to build nimble intrapreneurial culture as well as of the agile startup ecosystem. The discussion was moderated by Business Broadcast News COO Monica Tata.
