Vodafone India on Tuesday announced the rollout of its high speed 4G network in India from the port town of Kochi.
The telecommunication services provider said that the 4G service would be available for Kochi customers from December 14 followed by 4G rollout covering important metros of Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata in the first phase.
Testing of 4G services in these locations has already commenced successfully and Vodafone has partnered with leading global technology service providers for the network roll-out, Sunil Sood, MD & CEO, Vodafone India said while announcing the launch of Vodafone’s 4G services in India.
Vodafone said that it is offering 4G on the efficient 1800 MHz band and the speeds offered on this state of the art network will significantly enhance the mobile internet experience for customers who will be able to download videos and music faster, enjoy seamless video chats and connect on their favorite apps with greater ease.
“We are looking at the different experience that 4G can bring when compared to 3G . Customers will be able to enjoy features like high definition video streaming, mobile gaming and two-way video calling with greater ease,”Sunil added.
