In an indication that February may have been another good month for car sales, Toyota Kirloskar, Toyota’s India arm, posted a 17% year-on-year increase in sales to 11,802 units. Car sales for the corresponding period last fiscal stood at 10,100 units.

In January, the Indian arm of the Japanese carmaker registered 16% growth in vehicle sales to 12,650 units.

Toyota Kirloskar was the first carmaker to announce its sales numbers and its rivals, such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Honda, will announce their February sales figures on Monday.
