Luxury car maker Porsche has tried its hand at building a superyacht. Yes, you read that right, a boat and not a car. And it is called simply GTT 115. The automaker’s design house, known as Studio F.A. Porsche, has made a hybrid superyacht that is set to make its debut at the Monaco Yacht Show on September 27, Business Insider reports. The name may be simple and gives no clue about the actual luxury and massive costs involved. And we are not even beginning to talk about its looks. Indeed, it would be an understatement to refer to it as spectacular.
New, much more bombastic adjectives would be in order to actually indicate the splendour involved. The yacht has been constructed in collaboration with Dynamiq, a luxury yacht builder. CEO of Dynamiq, Sergei Dobroserdov, defined GTT 115 as “the modern gentlemen’s superyacht”, Mashable reports. GTT 115 can sail at over 21 knots maximum with a cruising range of 3,400 nautical miles, the report says.

The 35-metre vessel sports a sleek and futuristic design. “Its fluid lines, side contours and balanced proportions recall the drop-shaped, overstretched surfaces of the Porsche 911,” the Monaco-based company was quoted as saying by Mashable.
“The rooms are visually connected by decorative aluminium and wooden slats, inspired by the dashboard of the Porsche Mission E. Brown,” the company says. “Cream leather dominates the colours and materials, along with alcantara fabric and indirect LED lighting, as is common in car headliners,” it adds.
Roland Heiler, CEO of FA Studio Porsche, said that new design will appeal to forward looking car owners. “Taking the spirit of high-performance sports car styling to the high seas, the Dynamiq GTT 115 is designed to appeal to car lovers and forward-thinking yacht owners,” Heiler was quoted as saying by www.highsnobiety.com.
