Forget the Rs. 130000/- crores initiative and all that. People all over the country are right now worried about linking sim with Aadhaar as the entire initiative has fallen into a great pit and muddle due to sheer inept and unimaginative handling by all concerned. Many issues are avoidable ones if only the authorities concerned had applied their minds a little more. It is a major complaint of fading finger prints for Seniors and manual laborers and several issues cropping up every day such as serpentine queues the machines not working etc. The Wise Secretary has to realize that even a good initiative like Aadhaar will no succeed unless initiated in a people friendly manner after taking into consideration all the issues likely to crop up and after consulting all stake holders. Putting the cart before horse will only land the Government in trouble. Urgent action is needed. Krish
