Youtube has launched 60fps video streaming service on iOS and Android mobile apps.

Youtube has launched 60fps video streaming service on iOS and Android mobile apps.

These video streams were already available on YouTube’s desktop and live video streams.

According to the Techcrunch.com, YouTube spokesperson said that 60fps YouTube was now available on the desktop, Apple TV and the PlayStation 3 and 4 consoles.

While most regular video content is recorded at 30fps (TV shows) or 24fps (movies), video games often run at higher frame rates. Higher frame rates are also said to improve 3D viewing.

Most modern phones should be able to easily play these new 60fps streams.

Earlier this year, YouTube also introduced support for 60fps 4K video.
