Xiaomi has noted that the pre-ordered devices will ship within five business days and users will be able to add 1 or maximum 2 products per order only. The company had used the pre-order move earlier as well, for its most popular smartphones. It must be noted that if you pre-order the phones on Mi.com, you will not avail the cash on delivery payment option. Users are needed to pay the full amount online while placing the order. You can also cancel the delivery of the device before it starts shipping.
The entry-level Xiaomi Redmi 4A is the company’s cheapest smartphone and is priced at Rs 5,999. In terms of specifications, the phone features a 5-inch HD display, 2GB RAM+16GB storage, which is expandable to 128GB via a microSD card. There’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor, a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The battery on the Redmi 4A is 3120 mAh, non-removable, and the phone runs Android Marshmallow along with MIUI 8 on top of the device. The phone comes in Gold, Silver, Matte Black, and Grey colour variants. The Redmi 4A which launched in China in November 2016 and is a successor to the Redmi 3. In India, it was the second phone the Chinese company launched after the Redmi Note 4.
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 has been a hugely popular smartphone in India, as it witnessed a few sales where the devices were sold out within moments after launch. But now, due to the high demand, the company has announced the pre-order option.The smartphone was launched in January this year and it was the Xiaomi’s first device in India in 2017. The Redmi Note 4 comes in two options, in terms of storage- while the base variant is of 2GB and 32GB internal memory will cost users an amount of Rs 9,999, the other variant of 4GB and 64GB will come for a price of Rs 12,999.
As far as the specifications are concerned, Xiaomi has stayed true to its bigger battery promise, as the new device comes with a big 4100 mAh battery and the company claimed it to be 25 percent better than the erstwhile Redmi Note 3. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, which uses the new 14nm FinFET technology.
Apart from the metal build of the handset, the novel feature that the Redmi Note 4 has is that it supports USB Type-C port. It is Xiaomi’s first smartphone to have the new reversible slot. The new smartphone runs Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, which is expected to improve performance and reduce battery consumption. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has a display of 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) with 2.5D curved glass and 401ppi pixel density. Both the variants of the storage capacity of 2GB and 3GB RAM models can have expandable storage via microSD card (maximum of 128GB).
With the feature of PDAF (phase detection autofocus), the phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera and the option of f/2.0 aperture. It can record 1080p videos at 30fps. The front camera of 5-megapixels, which according to Xiaomi, can click wide angle shots extended to 85-degrees.
Customers are needed to create a Mi.com login id or if already done, they need to sign in with their account and password. Only then they can successfully pre-book the Redmi Note 4 or the Redmi 4A. Also, delivery address of pre-order orders cannot be changed.
