Some important new features and images of Xiaomi Mi 5c have leaked, a few days ahead of its launch. The Mi 5c is expected to come with a 5.5 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The smartphone could come at a price of CNY 999 which will be around Rs 9,900 in India. The poster featuring the details was shared on Weibo by KJuma. The Mi 5c will most probably be the cheapest smartphone in the lineup as it comes at half the cost of Mi 5 which came to India at a price of Rs 24,999. According to the Mi 5c’s leaked picture on mydrivers, the smartphone by Xiaomi will feature a fingerprint scanner at the front and a 2.5D glass in the top display. The body of the Mi 5c will be a metal frame along with round edges and the camera will be present at the top left in the rear and the Mi Logo will be at the bottom.
Meanwhile, The Xiaomi Mi 5c will feature a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor along with a 3GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. According to some rumours, the Mi 5c might feature its own Pinecone SoC. The phone will also have narrow bezels on the edges. According to leaked images on mydrivers, in the camera department, the phone will have 12-megapixel shutter at the back and 8-megapixel selfie camera. The Xiaomi latest smartphone will likely run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with MIUI 8. The smartphone is expected to release at an event in December.
As far as its release in India is concerned, there is no information out yet. When the company’s Mi 5 was launched in China in February 2016, it came to India after a month making it the first country out of China to see the phone. However, the Mi 5s which launched in China at a price of 1,999 Yuan did not see the light of day in India. Even Xiaomi’s redmi Pro or the Mi Note 2 might not find their way to India. So it remains to be seen if the company brings the Mi 5c or the Mi Mix in the country, at all.
