Xiaomi is popular for making great smartphones at affordable prices. However, there are a few phones, especially in the Redmi series which do not boast of a great camera. One of the examples in the Redmi Note 3, where Xiaomi itself had agreed that the Redmi Note 4 was launched to overcome the camera issues in the previous model. But did it get better? Probably a little bit. It is not that Xiaomi cameras are bad, especially at the price that they come in. But can they get better? Yes. A simple Google HDR+ hack may do it. Xiaomi is known to bring exception feature on its smartphones at cheap prices. While its phones have boasted of their performance and hardware, the camera has in general been a bit of a disappointment. One of the reasons may be that most of the camera found in budget devices have largely been similar to each other. The trend began with the Redmi Note 3, which had great specifications but clicked average images. Later, phones like Mi Max and Redmi 3S did not do much to improve Xiaomi's image. While the Xiaomi Mi 5 rivalled the OnePlus 3, it failed in the camera department. However, we now have the Google Camera HDR port. While Xiaomi has always focussed on its hardware, it couldn't do so much in camera. However, it has decided to change things with the new Mi A1 mobile, which can click great portrait photos. However, the new Redmi Note 4, Mi Max 2, and the Redmi 4 are still a bit backward in this department. XDA Developers have found out a way to get the Google Camera HDR+ port for Xiaomi phones. According to their testing, mobiles like Redmi Note 3 are enabled to click better images. To give you an idea, Google Pixel devices boast of such great cameras based on the Google Camera HDR+ port. This technology helps in relying on good software instead of more hardware for its cameras. However, of course, you should not expect your under Rs 15,000 phone to click images like the Pixel. The report in XDA developers said that there are several versions of the port, and the best one can be found on this link: "". The best part of the software is that you will not have to change the settings manually. It is normally integrated with your camera app and works smoothly. However, you will still need to root your device, which is not a highly recommended process.
