The Chinese based smartphone company Gionee's next-generation smartphone may have a bezel-less design, similar to the iPhone X and Galaxy Note 8. The company took to social media site Weibo to announce the launch date of September 25 of the Gionee M7. It also said that the launch event will take place in China, Indian Express report said. The company had been working on M7, for a while now. Even as the company has not shared much about M7, there\u2019s plenty of information going around.\u00a0 The smartphone, based on the teaser poster,\u00a0 appears to look even bigger and the bezels nonexistent. Just as in the case of Galaxy Note 8, the IE report added. Apart from bezel-less design, the teaser does not provide any information about the smartphone. The smartphone is however said to be a high-end phone. It is expected to feature a 6-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 18:9, the report said. Gionee M7 is said to be powered by a MediaTek Helio P30 processor along with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. Speaking of the camera, the report further said that the device will have a 16MP primary camera on the back and an 8MP selfie shooter in the front. It will run Android 7.1 Nougat with the company\u2019s preparatory user interface on the top. The company will launch the smartphone at a time when a number of companies are also launching their flagship smartphones with bezel-less designs. Recently, Xiaomi surprised everyone by launching the Mi Mix 2 with a bezel-less display. The Mi Mix 2 succeeds the original Mi Mix, which was launched in China in 2016. In the meantime, Apple also launched the iPhone X,\u00a0 the smartphone with an all-screen design, wireless charging, and facial recognition technology.
