Smartphone giant Lenovo-owned Motorola caused ripples in the smartphone sector after leaked press renders revealed the new line of Motorola devices: Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play. According to sources, the new-line of next-generation smartphones in the G series will reportedly be released this year. Rumours doing rounds suggest that the phones will be codenamed Blaine, Teller and Ashley respectively, tipped off by Evan Blass. Also, it is reported that the images of the phones are leaked yet again.
Previously, the images were spotted on the site Mysmartprice. Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play are expected to sport a 3D glass back along with full-HD+ displays and dual camera setups, as seen in the marketing image renders. Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play will have 5.7-inch full HD+ display while the Moto G6 Plus will carry a bigger 5.93-inch full-HD+ display, that will have 18:9 aspect ratio. Reports also suggest that Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus will have the fingerprint sensor on the front, but Moto G6 Play will house the fingerprint scanner on the back.
Moto G6 is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. In another variant, the phone is expected to be equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. However, Moto G6 Plus will be powered by Snapdragon 630 processor. All three phones are rumoured to have 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphones are suggested to run on Android 8.0 Oreo. In terms of battery power, Moto G6 may have 3000mAh battery and Moto G6 Plus 3200mAh battery under the hood. The third variant Moto G6 Play, according to sources will pack the bigger punch in terms of battery life with massive 4000mAh battery. As per the performance listing, the Motorola Moto G6 Play has a score of 1801 points in multi-core performance and 472 in the single-core.
All three Motorola devices are expected to debut in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, slated to start from February 26.
