As the Samsung Galaxy S9 launch is getting closer by the day, the leaks and renders for the new Samsung flagships are already abounded. Earlier this week, a press image showing the full frontal of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ was leaked by Evan Blass. Now, a new press image render has surfaced online that reveals what the rear side of both the devices looks like. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ can be seen having a single camera and dual camera setup, respectively, along with the fingerprint sensor placed below them in the top-centre.
According to the image render shared by dbrand, an online device customisation website, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will sport a rear glass panel. On the top side, the Galaxy S9 will have a single camera coupled with an LED flash module and body sensor, while the Galaxy S9+ will come with a vertically-aligned dual camera setup with an LED flash and body sensing modules. This corroborates the reports so far that have hinted at the different camera setups on both the devices. In line with this, Evan Blass also posted the rear component layouts for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ on Twitter. The components include the camera, LED flash, and sensing modules, which are expected on the new Galaxy flagships.

In addition to the press images revealing the rear side, dbrand posted other images of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ that show them in full glory. As seen in one of the images, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will support the IntelligentScan face scanner and iris scanners, which was reported recently. The design of both the smartphone is not very different from the predecessors – Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. besides, dbrand has already released the custom skins for Galaxy S9 duo that are available for pre-orders in a vast colour range. The customers can book additional stickers to cover the camera glass and the front bezels of the device. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be launched at Unpacked 2018 event on February 25 at 6 pm CET (10:30 pm IST).
Samsung in its Unpacked 2018 event invite for the Galaxy S9 launch touted that the flagships will come with “reimagined” cameras. According to the retail box leaked previously, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will sport a Dual Pixel 12-megapixel camera on the rear that will feature advancements such as ‘Super Speed’ camera technology, ‘Super Slow-mo’ mode, and optical image stabilisation (OIS). The front camera will have an 8-megapixel AF shooter with two apertures – f/1.5 and f/2.4.
Samsung was recently reported to bring its ISOCELL camera technology to the Galaxy S9 smartphone duo. The ISOCELL module is essentially a refined photography technique that uses Samsung’s Tetracell technology to improve low light images by merging four neighbouring pixels to work as one big pixel. Additionally, the smartphones will be a Smart WDR feature that will allow capturing multiple exposures in a single shot.
For the rest of the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will sport 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Infinity curved-edge QHD+ displays, respectively. The duo is expected to be powered by the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC in the US and China, and Exynos 9 Series 9810 processor outside it. This will be paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage on Galaxy S9 and 6GB RAM/ 128GB inbuilt storage on Galaxy S9+.
