The event will host a press conference in New York on Wednesday. In India, you will be able to catch the live streaming of event from 8:30 PM. The Galaxy Note 8 has been a highly anticipated smartphone in the market. Rumours and leaks related to the device have been doing the rounds for a long time now. Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8 will be unveiled at the event, as its press invite showed a silhouette of the device. According to initial reactions, the phone looks a lot like the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, just a little bit bigger. While we wait for the event to start, here is a quick look at what you can expect from the event and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone, based on the rumours.
It is the hallmark of Samsung Galaxy Note smartphones. The company must have really worked hard to upgrade the feature, popularly known as a stylus. Now, you will be able to digitally write and colour on the screen with more accuracy. The tech giant had already done a great job by finding new ways to use the S Pen. One of them includes allowing users to take notes on the display even when it’s off.
Camera, display and design
The company had confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8 will feature a design that is quite close to the look of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus devices. If such a things happen, we will see a smartphone with a really big screen. We will also miss the physical home button on the front but get a fingerprint sensor at the rear end. Reports have suggested that the Galaxy Note 8 will be curved devices. According to the leaks and rumours, the smartphone’s display will be 6.3 inches, which makes it just 0.1-inch longer than the Galaxy S8 Plus’ 6.2-inch screen. Meanwhile, to give you an idea, the Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch display. However, the camera will be the biggest game-changer for Note 8. Reports have said that an innovative camera on the Galaxy Note 8 may just outdo the popular Galaxy S8. The latter has one of the best cameras on the premium smartphone market. The Galaxy Note 8 camera will enable portrait-style clicks which phones like the iPhone 7 Plus feature. For more accurate pictures, similar to the Essential phone, the dual cameras may have a black-and-white sensor, apart from a colour sensor.
Galaxy Note 8 release date and pricing
Samsung will likely offer an unlocked version of the Galaxy Note 8, but exactly when is unknown. The rumour mill says Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 might be available for preorders as soon as this week, with the device shipping in September, according to a report from The Verge. As of now, the best guess is that the Galaxy Note 8 will launch sometime within the next several weeks and could cost more than the $850 Galaxy S8 Plus.
Gear 360 camera, the Gear VR headset and perhaps wearables such as its Gear Gear S3 smartwatch may see the light of the day. Even Bixby, Samsung’s new voice assistant, will also play a role on the Galaxy Note 8, as it did not become quite popular this year, as much as the company would have liked it to be.
