Reliance Jio’s Happy New Year offer is going to end today, following which the customers will have to begin paying in order to continue using the data and calling service. Following the roll out of the ‘Welcome Offer’, the trial period for Jio continued as the ‘Happy New Year’ offer. But now the freebies are about to get over, and from tomorrow the data on Reliance Jio will start being chargeable. Meanwhile, Jio Prime membership has been offered by the network provider and it has been aimed towards softening the blow on the subscribers who will have to pay for the service before March 31. From April 1, the new offers will begin, but you are needed to recharge your number with Rs 99, in order to continue using the Happy New Year offers. Under the new offer, you will have to pay the particular amount to become a ‘prime’ subscriber. Following this, there will be separate charges for data consumed by prime and non-prime members. In order to become a Prime member, you will have to pay the fee by today. Additionally, you will have to pay a minimum of Rs 303 per month for the next one year if you wish to avail the unlimited internet offers. Reliance Jio has also put out a FAQ section, under which many questions have been answered. Here are 10 points you need to keep in mind before the deadline for Prime membership ends:
1. What is the Buy One Get One Offer?
Under some new offer, Reliance Jio users can get up to 10GB of free data on an early recharge. If you are a Jio subscriber and wish to opt for the Rs 149 prepaid plan, you will get 2 GB of data along with unlimited free calls, and then 1 GB of free data. Additionally, under the Rs. 303 plan, you will get 5 GB of free data along with 28 GB of data subscribers are originally entitled to. Also, in the Rs 499, Rs 999, Rs 1999, Rs 4,999 and Rs 9,999 plans you will get 10 GB of free data over and above the data originally available.

2. Can you pay for the Prime membership using payment services like PayTM? Can post-paid customers pay the membership fee later?
Reliance Jio subscribers can also buy the new Prime membership through the digital payments app, PayTm. It is offering additional benefits on each Jio recharge including a Rs 10 cashback on joining the Rs 99 Jio Prime plan using the app. You can avail the offer by using the code ‘JioPrime’. Also, even if you are a post-paid user, you will have to pay Rs. 99 upfront for the Jio Prime membership, similar to a prepaid recharge.
3. Free Prime Membership:
Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has a cashback offer which can get you Prime membership for free. In a new offer announced by Reliance. Jio on its JIO MONEY application. According to the new plan, if you get your recharge done using the Jio Money app, you will get a Rs 50 cashback on every recharge. Once you recharge the initial prime membership fee, you are also needed to recharge your number with Rs 303 as the monthly fee. If you recharge your number with that number using the Jio Money app, you get a Rs 50 cashback again. Hence, in total you will be getting Rs 50 + Rs 50, that is Rs 100 as cashback.

4. What will happen after March 31 to Jio members who haven’t recharged with a tariff plan?
Post 31st March 2017, if you have not recharged with any 4G plan, your services will stop. You will be able to get incoming voice calls and SMS for certain period. In order to continue enjoying extreme value and unlimited usage, please recharge with Rs. 303 pack.

5. How many times can you recharge during the next 12 months? When will the benefits of Jio Prime membership end?
You can recharge as many numbers of times during these 12 months. The benefits of Jio Prime will be available with every recharge. Meanwhile, the benefits of the Jio Prime membership are valid from 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018.
6. Can you do multiple recharges on the same data plan?
In the case of multiple recharges, they will behave like separate paper vouchers that are taken and one is used and the other is put in the pocket, to be used when the first one is used up. Similarly, these digital vouchers will be queued up in your account, for usage only once the first voucher has expired.

7. Why your one-day data plan will not end at midnight?

8. How many times can you make use of ‘Buy One Get One’ offer?
If you have recharged before 31st March 2017 and you are a Jio Prime Member, you will get an automatic benefit of Buy One Get One offer on every recharge of Rs.149 or above. (i.e. Only applicable for Prepaid customers who are Jio Prime Members). Each add-on benefit is tagged to the recharge and will be applicable only when that recharge plan gets active. This means, if you recharge twice with the 303 plan before 31st March 2017, the first 303 plan will be applicable from 1st April 2017 to 28th April 2017, during which you will get a free add-on pack of 5 GB. The next 303 plan will be applicable from 29th April 2017 to 26th May 2017 and during this period you will again get the benefit of the free add-on pack of 5 GB
9. Here’s what will happen if you do not recharge your number every month?
If you do not recharge after the validity of your existing recharge is over, you will only be able to receive incoming calls and messages. If you do not do any recharges in 90 days, your number might get disconnected
