Qualcomm a technology major, has put out a teaser on Twitter and confirmed the launch of a new OnePlus smartphone which will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 821 SoC. As far as previous leaks and rumours are concerned, the new device will be the OnePlus 3T. Qualcomm posted a tweet which read as, “Something new from @OnePlus is on the way… and it’s powered by our #Snapdragon 821 processor. Stay tuned.” OnePlus’s previous version, the OnePlus 3T runs on a Snapdragon 820 SoC. Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus had earlier been reported to be working on a new version of OnePlus 3, its flagship device. According to earlier reports, the latest variant of the smartphone by OnePlus was speculated to be named as OnePlus 3 Plus or OnePlus 3S. Now in a recent report in Weibo, made by a OnePlus designer, the smartphone may as well be called as OnePlus 3T.
However, there has been no official statement by OnePlus about the company manufacturing any new version of the smartphone. Interestingly, OnePlus CEO Carl Pei had tweeted recently that, “OnePlus will be staying with Optic AMOLED displays for the foreseeable future.” According to the rumours, the new version of OnePlus 3 will be unveiled by the company in a few weeks. Speculations are rife that the new device might be running on an Oxygen OS based the Android 7.0 Nougat. According to a leak by noted tipster Evan Blass, the OnePlus 3T could be priced at $479 (near Rs 32,000), while the OnePlus 3T was launched in India as an Amazon exclusive this year, priced at Rs 27,999.

Rumours and reports of another flagship device called OnePlus 4 have been doing the rounds. The device, powered by Snapdragon 830 SoC clocked at 3GHz, has been speculated to be announced next year. It will come with an Adreno 620 GPU and a bigger battery.
