Stop lights, warning labels, and now a mobile phone—red is definitely the colour that stands out. At a time when mobile phones come in their usual dull grey and black colours, the Chinese device maker Oppo has introduced the F3 Diwali Limited Edition for the young consumers in a red variant. This is a new variant in its F3 series of selfie-focused smartphones. Trust me, it’s a bold and attractive device, and definitely hard to resist. This is basically an extension of the original F3 and its price is set at Rs 18,990.
Oppo F3 Diwali Limited Edition has been specifically designed to begin the celebrations of Diwali. This customised edition comes in a stylish red colour along with a shining metallic luster. Two thread-thin metallic bands have been widened to achieve a perfect proportion, with a customised golden painting technology. Bright and all metal red body — everything comes together to give an impression of youth, fashion and the beginning of the festive season.
Oppo has been offering selfie-focused phones with advanced front camera technology since the trend caught on. According to The Nielsen Company’s report in July, Oppo is a leading mobile phone brand in the selfie segment with a 39% top-of-mind-awareness of “great selfies”. In Q2 2017, Counterpoint found out that Oppo F3 owns over 24.2% market share in `15,000 to `30,000 segment.
The F3 has a sleek metal body that is finely crafted and beautifully detailed. Its bezel is quite narrow, frankly you can’t tell where the bezel ends and the glass begins. The phone is extremely light and narrow and fits firmly in the hand. There’s a comfortable grip to it.
The dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) Oppo F3 runs ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) In-Cell TFT 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 401ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750T6 SoC coupled with Mali-T860 GPU and 4 GB of RAM.
To provide a good selfie experience to users, the F3 supports dual selfie cameras – one 16-megapixel 1.3-inch sensor with f/2.0 aperture for regular selfie, and another double view wide-angle camera that has an 8-megapixel sensor for group selfies. While the former sports a 76.4-degree wide-angle lens, the latter sports a 120-degree wide-angle lens that allows for 105-degree field-of-view group selfies.
With two cameras, users can snap a classic solo shot when they are in the mood, but also include the whole group when they are caputing memories with their friends and relatives. The Oppo F3 comes with various camera features, including the Beautify 4.0 app, Selfie Panorama, Screen Flash, and Palm Shutter. At the rear end, it sports a 13-megapixel camera having a 1.3-inch sensor with PDAF, and an LED flash.
For high performance, the Oppo F3 comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM for smooth multitasking with enough space for more than 50,000 photos. The phone also has a large 3200 mAh battery lasting for more than 15 hours.
Overall, the F3 Diwali Limited Edition is slim and light device with sharp and bright display. It has a speedy user interface and decent battery life. Every customer who will purchase the F3 Diwali Limited Edition would get an exclusive cricket bat signed by the Indian Cricket Team.
