Chinese phone maker OnePlus has launched a buyback amd upgrade programme for old smartphones for a brand-new OnePlus device. The company has tied up with ReGlobe and will offer invites for the new OnePlus 2, OnePlus X under the scheme that is valid till December 31, 2015.
“Out with the old, in with the new! #UpgradeToOnePlus with our exchange program with ReGlobe,” the company tweeted.
Customers have to visit the ReGlobe page or register on OnePlus page to check whether their device is listed to register interest for an invite for a OnePlus 2 or the OnePlus X. To complete the process, customers needs to share contact details. After that ReGlobe will send a quote for the device and if it is accepted, then the customer can go ahead with the exchange offer.
The customer is to also mention and opt for one of the two exchange schemes OnePlus presently offer and needs to communicate their preference to the customer support team.
According to company’s blog, there are two types of exchange schemes that one can opt for post registering an interest.
1.Buy First, Sell Later Option: If a customer opts to buy the new device first, ReGlobe’s customer service will share the invite code for the OnePlus smartphone of your choice and will schedule a pick-up for a future date. ReGlobe will then approve the sale of the older device as well as receive a confirmation from OnePlus on activation of the invite by the buyer. Once the above procedures are completed, a page-link is sent to the customer to avail the Free Insurance* being offered (only on the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X) and an Amazon Gift Coupon matching the quote of your older device within 3-5 working days.
2. Sell First, Buy Next Option: If a customer would like to sell their older device first, ReGlobe will assist them in the same. Once this sale transaction is complete, the customer will receive an invite for their choice of OnePlus smartphone along with an Amazon Gift Coupon which matches the negotiated quote of the older device.
