Nokia 7 Plus: Nokia 7 was released in October last year and immediately got noticed from popular markets, however, that smartphone never made to India. Meanwhile, with a little over three months passed since the launch of Nokia 7, the smartphone maker HMD Global has plans for a beefier version of the smartphone. The refined ‘Nokia 7 Plus’ is seen listed on Geenkbench and some of the specifications on the smartphones hint at a much more polished version is on the cards.

The new listing on Geekbench states that Nokia 7 Plus will have the Snapdragon 660 processor. Nokia 7 had Snapdragon 630 SoC. Nokia 7 Plus will feature 4GB RAM and will have Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. Nokia 7 Plus is expected to be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona next month. At MWC next month, HMD Global may launch at least four new smartphones, which may include the Nokia 7 Plus.

Nokia 7 Plus was teased in the apk of Nokia Camera app. The smartphone is expected to have a better lens than what was found on the original Nokia 7. Nokia 7 had a 5.2-inch display, a fingerprint scanner at the back, a 3,000 mAh battery. In terms of storage, the Nokia 7 has two variants of 4GB and 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. It has a 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. Nokia 7 had a tech called ‘Dual-Sight technology.’ This technology enabled the smartphone to click ‘Bothie’, that means the smartphone can take pictures and video at the same time using the rear and front-facing camera.

Meanwhile, Nokia 8 has started getting Android 8.1 Oreo update for the beta testers under the Nokia Beta Labs programme. Nokia Beta Labs was reintroduced last year by HMD Global. HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas, on Twitter announced that the Android 8.1 Oreo beta update is now rolling out to Nokia 8.

At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month, HMD Global could unveil Nokia 9, which is the company’s upcoming flagship device, a 4G variant of the popular and nostalgic Nokia 3310 (4G). Additionally, the company is expected to globally launch the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7. Nokia 6 (2018) was introduced in China in January.

Nokia 7 was priced at 2,499 yuan which roughly translates to Rs 24,731 for 4GB RAM model. However, there was a 6GB RAM storage variant as well.
