Nokia 6 sale will start on Amazon India on August 23 at 12 PM. The mid-range smartphone from HMD Global has received over one million registrations on Amazon ahead of the sale. Nokia 6 will be made available exclusively online, unlike the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 which were limited to offline retail in India. The device is priced at Rs 14,999. Nokia 6 sports a metal unibody design and unlike the other smartphones in the market, this device reminds people a lot of the Lumia design. Nokia 6 has been made from a single block of aluminum, says the company. Talking of the display, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor.
It is also housed with 4GB RAM and 32 GB storage and is expandable to 128 GB via a microSD card. Nokia 6 also has 64GB storage variant in Arte Black, but that is not coming to India. The phone features 16 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture while the front camera comes with 8 MP. Nokia 6 is packed with a 3,000 mAh battery.
The phone runs on Android Nougat 7.1 and will soon get the newly launched Android Oreo. It also has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology for a better sound experience. Given the price and specs of the phone, Nokia 6 competes with market hot Redmi 4, Lenovo K6 Note, newly announced Coolpad Cool Play 6 and Micromax Canvas Infinity.
The registration for tomorrow’s sale is closed, however, registrations for the next sale, which is on August 30 are open and users can register for this on the website.
Meanwhile, HMD Global has also just announced the Nokia 8 flagship smartphone, though that will likely be priced at Rs 45,000 and above, and will come to the Indian market by early October.
