Lenovo-owned Motorola’s all new smartphone Moto M has been launched in India and has been priced at Rs 15,999. The new smartphone with all metal body and fingerprint scanner at the back will be made available exclusively in the e-commerce portal Flipkart, beginning from December 14 at 11:59 pm. The Moto M has two versions based on RAM and internal memory. One variant of the device has 3GB RAM and an internal memory of 32 GB, while the other one has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory. During the launch, many other exclusive offers were announced for the consumers and they will be valid from December 15 as and when the device goes on sale on Flipkart.
In another offer, the Moto Pulse 2 Headset, priced at Rs 1,499 will be available for Rs 499 only. The Moto M smartphone comes with a special exchange offer against old devices. Citibank credit card users will get a discount of Rs 1,000 on the product. The Moto M is very different from the earlier phone by Motorola, that is the Moto Z lineup. The company, for the first time, has got the fingerprint scanner at the back of the device when usually it has a square fingerprint scanner added on the front end. This smartphone was earlier announced in China in November.
In terms of specifications: Moto M features a 5.5-inch FHD display screen and a resolution of 1920×1080 along with a 2.5 D curved glass. The smartphone has a MediaTek Helio P15 quad-core processor along with 4GB of RAM and an internal memory of 32GB, expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. The new Motorola M contains a 16 MP camera at the back with f.2.0 aperture, PDAF support and dual tone flash. For selfies, an 8MP camera is present. The battery is of 3050mAh and has Turbo Charging technology support which is a common feature among Motorola devices. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and has 4G support. Moto M comes with a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual tone flash, PDAF and Dolby Audio support. The front is dominated by an 8-megapixel shooter. The 3050mAh battery supports Turbo Charging technology like other Motorola phone. The 4G LTE smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The device is totally water and dust proof.
