MapMyIndia says that the eLoc has been created to enable Indian commuters and travellers to navigate to the exact doorstep of your destination, that too withing the shortest possible time. This map can be shared as well and will be available in any area including cities, flats, villages, colonies, roads etc.
MapMyIndia is a digital address system which has eLoc that is a 6 character code of a location which includes a very accurate and comprehensive direction towards it. There is a database in the 3D digital map and it essentially helps the commuter to get precise directions for every turn to reach the exact doorstep, according to the company. According to the firm, its investment has been of Rs 200 crore in more than 20 years. It claims to have more than 2 crore eLoc codes in more than 7 thousand towns and urban areas, and over 6 lakh villages in the country.
The vast database, as the company claims, will help future endeavours too as they will ensure public and private firms will have to spend less. You can also add a new place or delete closed ones using the mobile app of MapMyIndia. The company will verify and validate the addition and introduce them. Users can access the app across all operating systems, Android, iOS and Windows.
