Lenovo K8 Plus has been launched in India and has been priced at Rs 10,999. The Motorola owned company has also launched the toned down version of the phone, called Lenovo K8. However, the price of the latter has not been revealed yet. Both the devices are mainly mid-range devices and contain upgraded cameras, the stock Android user interface, and better battery. When it comes to the Lenovo K8 Plus, the phone has the MediaTek octa-core Helio P25 processor clocking at 2.6Ghz. In terms of storage, the smartphone has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage which can be expanded with a dedicated microSD card up to 128GB.
The Lenovo K8 Plus has a huge battery of 4,000mAh capacity. The company has claimed that the fuel will last a minimum of two days. The K8 Plus features a 5.2-inch Full HD display, along with an Oleophobic coating and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has a dual camera setup, with 13MP and 5MP sensors. This feature will help users to add depth effect to your images. The selfie shooter in the phone is of 8MP capacity. The front camera has a front flash and an advanced pro mode.
In terms of design and build, the Lenovo K8 Plus looks similar to the K8 Note which was launched earlier this year. It has a full metal design. Adding another phone to the K series, Lenovo K8 Plus has promised an “amazing multimedia experience”. This has been possible due to the addition of Dolby Atmos sound technology. Similar to the K8 Note, this phone too has a dedicated music key as well.
Lenovo K8 Plus runs Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. The company has said that the user interface is a pure version of Android. This was again a feature introduced in the K8 Note. The company said that the phone will get the latest Android 8.0 Oreo soon.
The phone will be sold as a Flipkart exclusive device from tomorrow (September 7) at 12 PM. It will be available at Rs 10,999. Meanwhile, the Lenovo K8 will go on sale soon in India via leading retail channels.
