Transsion Holdings sub-brand Infinix on Tuesday launched the Hot S3 smartphone in India. The Infinix Hot S3 is a budget smartphone in the company’s Hot S smartphone lineup. The biggest highlight of the smartphone is the 20-megapixel front camera and a massive 4000mAh battery under the hood. The Infinix Hot S3 has been priced at Rs 8,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage model and Rs 10,999 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant in India. The Infinix Hot S3 is a dual SIM smartphone that runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box with company’s XOS Hummingbird v3.0 on top. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC with eight Cortex A53 cores, four of which are clocked at 1.2GHz and the other four are clocked at 1.5GHz. The handset packs two RAM and storage models, as we said – 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage; 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. The storage can be expanded further via microSD card (up to 128GB). It features a 5.65-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass protection on top.
For photography, the Infinix Hot S3 houses a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a dual-LED flash. The selfie camera on the smartphone is a 20-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture and a dual-LED flash as well. There is a fingerprint scanner mounted on the back of the smartphone. The connectivity options in Infinix Hot S3 include Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB among others.
