Cab aggregator Uber and restaurant chain Pizza Hut on Wednesday announced a new initiative on Wednesday to provide an enhanced experience to their customers. The two companies have come together with their unique ‘Uber it to Pizza Hut’ initiative. The new feature will appear as a button in Uber’s cab-providing app and works as a Pizza Hut store locator. “Pizza Hut store locator will now feature an ‘Uber it to Pizza Hut’ button. Using this button, customers across the country will now be able to avail a ride with Uber to reach the store in time,” an official press release from the company said.
Speaking about the initiative, Prashant Gaur, Chief Brand Officer, Pizza Hut India, said, “Pizza Hut believes in providing unique and innovative experiences to its customers. The ‘Uber it to Pizza Hut’ campaign aims to provide accessibility to customers so they can avail a hassle-free, quicker and an even more enjoyable experience at Pizza Hut,” he said.
An official press release claimed that the new initiative is receiving an overwhelming response. “Since its launch, the ‘Uber it to Pizza Hut’ button on Pizza Hut’s store locator has received an overwhelming response with hundreds of customers using it to reach a nearby Pizza Hut,” a press release said. Pizza Hut, a restaurant chain now operating in India for 20 years, was the first international restaurant chain to pioneer this category in the country.
