After launching lucrative data plans, Reliance Jio now looks to conquer the internet space too. While all the other telecom operators were busy tackling Jio in the market, the latter silently launched a web version its JioTV live streaming service. Apart from Jio TV, Reliance has JioCinema’s web version. The interface of both browser versions looks similar to the apps, which are available both Android and iOS. The JioTV websites show all TV channel categories which include Entertainment, Movies, News, and Sports. For all those who want high-definition (HD) separated from regular SD channels, Reliance Jio has that feature. There is also an option to filter out HD channels from their regular SD counterparts. The Web version of JioTV even offers the option to filter out channels in your preferred regional language. The Catch-Up TV feature is also present, allowing users to see content for the past seven days.
Here are the steps to login into Jio TV:
Step 1: Visit official website jiotv.com.
Step 2: For users who are on the Jio network, the MyJio app requires that a password is created along with the Jio number.
Step 3: This same password along with the current Jio number will have to be entered on the JioTV website.
Currently, JioTV has 425+ channels on offer and the company will continue to add more. JioTV has 60+ HD channels on board. The same procedure is to be followed for JioCinema.
Notably, a major factor behind releasing the Web version for JioTV could be live sports. Partners like Hotstar get a definite boost from users who prefer to stream live sports on the Web. Jio subscribers will now have the option to view their favourite channels on bigger screens.
Reliance Jio’s JioTV and JioCinema currently do not have dedicated app support for Amazon Fire TV Stick, Google Chromecast, or Apple TV. The JioTV iOS app got a facelift on the iPhone and iPad, in June this year.
