Many people complain that their smart band quite often fails to accurately capture their daily activity data, such as walking and running status, step count, distance covered, calories burnt and other data. Trust me, you won’t find this problem with the Honor Band 4 Running, a fashionable smart fitness companion for your mobile phone. Available at a modest price of Rs 1,599 on Amazon.in, this is one trendy piece of wearable from Honor, the smartphone e-brand under the Huawei Group.

As such, the Honor Band 4 Running is unique in the sense that it supports dual wear modes: Wrist Mode and Foot Mode. With its dual coloured straps, the Honor Band 4 Running is fashionable; it comes with an impressive 0.5-inch OLED display screen that integrates features such as running form monitoring, daily activity tracking, sleep monitoring and message reminders.

The Honor Band 4 Running helps users learn about their fitness levels, sleep status, and moreover helps them achieve better running results by minimising injury risks. Supported by Huawei Health app, the Band 4 Running can check users’ fitness and health data, assisting them to develop a better understanding of their physical conditions while tracking fitness status on a daily basis. Interestingly, it also comes with a new Foot Wear Mode, which works when users wear the band on shoes and switch to Foot Mode to access the professional running monitoring services.

Honor Band 4 Running supports and monitors seven running forms data: Cadence, Step Length, Ground Contact Time, Foot Strike Pattern, Landing Impact, Eversion Excursion and Swing Angle. It’s Sleep Monitoring feature enables a user to collect sleep data and identify status such as number of times of falling asleep and waking up, deep and light sleep. Then, the Daily Activity Tracking and Monitoring feature enables a user to automatically identify walking and running status, record step count, distance covered, calories burnt and other data. It also records data such as duration of moderate to high intensity activities.

Honor has also introduced a host of smart reminders in this band, enabling users to receive incoming call notifications, mute or reject incoming calls. It also supports reminders for SMS, email, calendar, social apps, etc. One of the key highlights of the watch is its extensive battery life that lasts up to 14 days on a single charge and 21 days standby time. Plus, it offers 50-meter water resistance. It also boasts of features such as alarm and activity reminder, Bluetooth disconnection alert, low battery and target attainment alerts, amongst others. Overall, a worthy pick for the health-conscious lot.
