At some point in life, we all have come across a situation where a Whatsapp message sent by mistake has led to a lot of embarrassment. While other messaging apps like Telegram, WeChat and Viber already have the option to delete sent messages from a thread, it wasn’t possible for the Whatsapp users, until now. But, if reports are to be believed that Messenger might soon roll out a new feature that will allow you to delete the messages from the thread.
According to reports by TNW and TechRadar, Whatsapp is working on a new feature called WhatsApp Delete for everyone which will allow its users to delete messages that have been sent by mistake before your contact reads them. As per these reports, the tests are already being conducted on Android and iOS devices. However, you will have to wait for a while before this feature is out there for everyone to use. As per the report, this feature appeared in an August beta version of the app for Windows Phone which is a clear sign that it will be rolled out for the Android and iOS devices soon.
This news comes only days after it was reported that WhatsApp will soon launch business tools for enterprises which will help them to communicate with their customers. It will soon start charging for the new feature. These new tools will be serving the businesses by enabling them to talk to customers over the mobile app. The WhatsApp Business app is currently in a testing phase.
The app will available for the small businesses for free for the first few months. However, WhatsApp may charge the large enterprises for a host of communication tools to reach customers. The businesses or enterprises will get a verified profile and users will be able to identify them with a ‘Green Tick’.
