According to reports on Wednesday, Google Now is speculated to be updated into a more personalised app. Google now is no longer to vaguely monitor the user’s search history among other interests, that they look for using Google. The app would now ask the user personal questions and act as per specific commands. It is said to be able to display relevant information based on the specific requests of the user. This feature is rumoured to be called “Explore Interests.”
Earlier Google Now provided the user with very generic information, such as traffic jams, maps, plane tickets and timings, weather reports, sports updates etc. This information is controlled by a number of switches in the app, which can be turned either way by the user, depending on how much information he needs. Explore Interests has been designed to get this information more personalised. It will cater to the specific demands of the user without providing unnecessary information, Android Police reported.
The Explore Interests has different sections of information, that might interest the user, such as movies, television shows, sports and so forth. it the user chooses, the app can show the information on the sub-topics related to the choice. The user will also be able to check the most trending topics in his geographical sphere.
When asked about the update, Google did not deny the reports. It noted that the matter was considered and the process of testing was on. It has to be understood that, if the tests fail, Google may cancel the project. Hence, expectations regarding this new feature are not to be encouraged.
