Google doodle celebrates Teacher’s Day 2016 with little student pencil animation

The animation shows a five pencils, where one of them represents a teacher, wearing spectacles and reading a book, while four other little student pencils can be seen walking behind the teacher with much enthusiasm.

doodle-L On this day, schools all over the country celebrate the occasion with much spirit. While some schools ask their senior-most students to become acting-teachers for a day, while teachers are involved in fun activities, others spend the day by organizing cultural events in order to honor their gurus.

Celebrating the occasion of Teacher’s Day, search engine Google dedicated an animated doodle to honor the teachers, who are a guiding lights for their students. The animation shows a five pencils, where one of them represents a teacher, wearing spectacles and reading a book, while four other little student pencils can be seen walking behind the teacher with much enthusiasm.

In India, Teacher’s Day is celebrated annually on September 5, the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second president of India. Dr Radhakrishnan believed “teachers should be the best minds in the country”. When he was the acting President, he said that instead of celebrating his birthday, it would be a privilege for him if his birth date were to be celebrated as Teacher’s Day.
