Google has launched a new feed on its app for Android and iOS smartphones. In a bid to upgrade the search feature, Google has announced this new feature in India. It will help users to adapt the news and information flow on their smartphones. You will now be able to see more articles on topics which you really care about. You will be able to get the new feed once you update the Google app and start it on your mobile. Google has increasingly become an important part of our lives, with its varied range of applications. With such new features, a lot of things might change, especially the way we consume news on the internet. The new Google Feed will show you cards which contain latest reports on top news, sports, videos, music and other things which you are passionate about. The information on Google will include articles both in English and Hindi.
On the new Google Feed, users will be able to follow topics directly from search results. This will give you more information on topics you wish to see at that point in time. There will be a new Follow button on Google search in smartphones. You can select from a varied range of topics, like music bands, popular stars, football matches, scientific journals etc. Once you tap on the Follow button, you will begin to get updates on your chosen topics. Also if you wish to unfollow a topic on the Feed, there is a button for that too. You can also visit the Google app setting to delete it from the feed.
The new feed will not only show you topics of your interest but the search will also be based upon your recent activity on the application. Once a user starts interacting more with the app, the search options will get better and keep evolving. This move, Google says, is to enable people to directly work on their interests instead of wasting time on searching for them.
For example, if you are a sports enthusiast as well as read about businesses, you may soon begin to get articles on the management aspect of sports. Google says that it will include information from diverse perspectives and multiple viewpoints, so the search results will be less biased.
