Following the launch of Black and Jet Black iPhone 7 this year, new reports suggest that Apple might unveil another variant for the users, and it will come in red. A Japanese blog for Apple called Macotakara has reported that Apple, for the 2017 version of its flagship smartphone, will introduce it in a red casing. Don’t believe in the rumour? Well, Macotakara was the first blog which predicted the headphone jack removal from the iPhone, among many other rumours which turned out to be true. They have a decent track record when it comes to Apple products.
The new report that has surfaced on the blog adds to a lot of rumours that have been floating around on the web about the next iPhone model. Earlier reports had suggested that Apple will come out with the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus to mark the 10th year of the iPhone, but the blog has claimed that the Apple will follow-up on the ‘S-policy’ next year, which means that we might get to see an upgraded version of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus which might be called as the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7 Plus. The leak also suggests that the inherent design of the smartphone will remain the same and the most notable update will be the all new ‘most-powerful’ A11 processor chip, and it might not get the much-anticipated glass chassis or the wireless charging.
There have been several other leaks regarding the phone (the S model) and the most interesting features include and OLED screen for every version, no home button, bezel-less display, an optical sensor to detect fingerprints, curved display panel and wireless chargers.
But this rumour of a new colour might be a great news for Apple consumers as the all black, rose gold, gold and silver variants can make way of a new brighter colour. The only hitch is that Apple at times bring out special edition smartphones, and it might have to reimage a new colour chassis this time around.
