Droom, an online marketplace to buy and sell new and used automobiles and automobile services, has introduced a mobile app that provides company related information to candidates looking for jobs in the firm. This information includes vacancies in various departments within the company, so that interested candidates can apply directly.
On the relevance of the app for recruitments, Sandeep Aggarwal, founder and CEO, Droom, said, “We are currently looking at hiring in big numbers. The HR app aims to provide more content to candidates sitting at Droom’s office when they have come to give an interview. It is a major move towards creating a paperless office.” The application form can be filled online along with the submission of required documents copies.
Last year the start-up hired 100 people from campuses across India and this year it has plans to hire another 125 resources
from various colleges. At present, the company has 250-300 people on its rolls. Founded in April 2014 in Silicon Valley by Sandeep Aggarwal, who is also the founder of e-commerce platform ShopClues.com, Droom is a mobile-first marketplace. Droom claims to have 1,09,000 auto dealers from across 500 cities on its platform, 14.5 million-plus monthly visitors and close to five million app downloads.

The HR app home page has three blocks, one of which is called OBV. This leads the visitor to www.orangebookvalue.com (a platform that helps in determining the fair market price of used vehicles via algorithms).”
The other two blocks give details about Droom’s founders and the firm’s history.
To manage the app in a better way, Droom has also added a module in the matrix – HRMP – which captures the feedback gathered from candidates and guests and analyses visitors’ site surfing behaviour. Droom has also updated all the latest photos and videos in the app.
