The summer travel season is here and school vacations make for a perfect time for a family trip. Sudhir Chowdhary rounds up some of the freely available Android apps, all of which are great for long vacations and short
trips alike. These apps will help you book your travel reservations, including flights, hotels and car rentals.

Goibibo

The go-to-place for online hotels bookings and also  a leading air travel aggregator. A user can  book cheap air tickets, flights, hotels, bus tickets and holiday packages with Goibibo at pretty low  prices. Its core value differentiator is delivery  of fast and meaningful user experiences, be it in terms of quick search and booking, fastest payments, settlement and refund processes.

MakeMyTrip

Download this immensely popular travel app and become a smart traveller. With the MakeMyTrip app, you can book flights, hotels and bus tickets on the go! You can even check flight schedules and manage your bookings. If you’re lucky, you might even get amazing last minute discounts on hotel reservations. The best part is, you can enjoy complete peace of mind with its fully safe and secure payment system. Highly recommended for its hassle-free experience.

Revv

Revv offers just that, along with a simple and cheap pricing of hourly rental without any constraint on the number of kilometres one drives. You can select your vehicle from an extensive range of cars, including the Hyundai Grand i10 (starting at R59 an hour), Nissan Sunny (R85, per hour) or even an Audi Q3 (R249, per hour).
