In a bid to take on Reliance Jio, Airtel and other telecom operators, BSNL has announced a new prepaid plan priced at Rs 448. Under this new plan, BSNL offers unlimited calling, data and more benefits for a period of 84 days. The BSNL prepaid users will get 1GB data per day under this plan along with unlimited local, STD and national roaming voice calls as well as 100 SMSes per day. However, the unlimited calling service will not be available for customers in Delhi and Mumbai.
This means that the users will get 84GB data for a period of 84 days under this offer which is standard for most operators these days. The new BSNL prepaid plan will compete against Reliance Jio’s Rs 448 prepaid recharge offer even though the latter offers more data.
Talking about the new plan, RK Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board, said that the operator is the only player in India right now that passes maximum benefits and most popular services to its customers. “This Voice & Data Centric STV is available for Rs. 448/ ie about @ Rs. 5.33 / per day and gives Unlimited Voice call at (Local/STD/National Roaming excluding MTNL area ie Mumbai & Delhi ) & unlimited data, Free PRBT with 100 SMSs per day for 84 days,” he said.
Mittal added that STV-448 is the most competitive in present market scenario. He said that detailed information in this regard is available on BSNL’s official website.
Coming back to Jio plan, the users get a total of 168GB data at 2GB per day for 84 days under the Rs 448 plan. Under this plan, Jio also offers unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and free access to Jio’s apps.
Another leading telecom operator, Airtel, offers 1.4GB daily data for 82 days along with other benefits like unlimited local, STD, roaming incoming and outgoing calls plus 100 SMS per day under its Rs 448 plan.
