On Friday, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) announced a new tariff plan to counter the industry leaders, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. Under the new special tariff voucher (STV), BSNL will give its prepaid user at a minimum price of Rs 99. Under the special tariff voucher (STV) of Rs 99, users will get unlimited local/STD voice calling, national roaming free except for the people living in Delhi and Mumbai. Users will also a personalised ring back tone. And the best part about the plan is its validity. For 26 days, BSNL is giving away all these benefits and for Rs 99 this STV is available all over India. BSNL is also giving away all these features for 90 days as well, however, the amount for that pack is Rs 319.

In a statement released by BSNL, Director (CM) BSNL Board RK Mittal mentioned that the company is ready to provide affordable services that are efficient to its customers. Mittal also added that these special tariff vouchers are for voice calls and gives unlimited calling to those customers to the people who are not using data services.

Earlier, BSNL launched another new prepaid plan which is priced at Rs 999. With this BSNL wishes to offer 1GB data per day and unlimited calling. And the validity of this plan is said to be for six months! The Maximum plan is applicable to almost every circle except Northeast states, Jammu & Kashmir. Under this plan, you will get free voice calling, SMS benefits and internet data which is like other tariff plans from various operators. What sets this plan apart from other plans is the validity, it is way higher than what is offered by Airtel and Reliance Jio.

This Maximum plan is in direct competition with plans from Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio. Both the telecom giants have plans which are priced at Rs 999 however, they have less validity when compared with the offer by BSNL.
