Ahead of its Big Billion Day sale, e-commerce giant Flipkart has teased the launch of tech titan Samsung’s much-anticipated smartphone Galaxy On8. The Big Billion Day sale will start on October 2 and will go on until October 6. In a page dedicated to the launch, the website has teased about the features of Samsung Galaxy On8 smartphone. Not many details have been released yet. But according to the teasers on the Flipkart’s website and Facebook, indicates that the smartphone will have a full-HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The smartphone has a 13-megapixel camera at the back and a 8-megapixel shooter for selfies. Both the cameras have a wide angle f/1.9 lens.
The features though decent are nothing better than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime which was launched in India recently. It is expected that the Samsung Galaxy On8 will possess a Qualcomm Snapgadron 625, 2GHz processor and an Andreno 506 GPU. In the storage department, the device is rumoured to have a RAM of 3GB and 32GB of inbuilt storage, which could be expanded up to 256 GB. The device with an all-metal body will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmellow and will have an overlaid Touchwiz. The Galaxy On8 smartphone can contain two SIMs (hybrid), but there is no information on the battery life. Though, Flipkart has presented a picture of a decent battery life. Other details remain unknown as of now.
Samsung had made continuous efforts to penetrate into the emerging markets in India and China. Samsung had rolled out its med0range devices, Galaxy On5 and On 7 this year. In India, the company had announced its Galaxy On7 Pro and On5 Pro also which were priced at Rs 11,190 and Rs 9,190 respectively. This latest smartphone from Google will be available on Flipkart, exclusively but there has been no word on the pricing of the device.
