Alcatel launched the smartphone – the Alcatel XL at the IFA 2016 in Berlin. The company also launched a VR headset, tablets, and other wearable devices at the event, which are to hit the EMEA region this October. The Alcatel XL is a 6-inch smartphone with full HD display and resolutions of 1080×1920 pixels. It is coated with a 2.5D glass. The phone which, which is being termed as the new 6-inch offering in the new Pop 4 tablet series, runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and comes with the Mali T860 GPU. The Alcatel XL comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Both the camera have LED flash support. The smartphone also boasts of a 3500mAH battery. In matters of connectivity, the Alcatel XL supports 4G LTE and Bluetooth 4.1. The phone also sports a fingerprint scanner and is expected to hit the market by mid-October.
Alcatel also launched the Pop 4 tablets with screen sizes of 7-inch and 10-inches at the IFA 2016. The Alcatel Pop4 (10 inches) has a full-HD display and is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. further specifications about the tablets are yet to be revealed by the company. the company also happened to launch a fitness tracking band Moveband, a Movetime WiFi Watch and a portable GPS tracker Movetrack. These devices are also to hit the market by the same time as the Alcatel XL
