Constantly feeling the heat of the tariff war triggered by Reliance Jio, Airtel has buckled up again to offer more data to its postpaid subscribers to take on rivals. Airtel’s myPlan Infinity postpaid plan of Rs 399 now offers double data of 20GB, up from 10GB, along with unlimited calls for a billing cycle. The Rs 499 myPlan Infinity postpaid plan has also been revised upwards to now offer 40GB data with unlimited calling benefits per billing cycle. The new Airtel Infinity postpaid plans are now available to buy from the MyAirtel app and Airtel website.
While the Airtel Infinity postpaid plan of Rs 399 now gives the subscribers a benefit of 20GB, unlimited local and national calls, according to the Airtel website, the roaming outgoing calls will now be charged, as opposed to the previous free roaming outgoing calls and 10GB data. Interestingly, the MyAirtel app does not mention any such exclusion where the roaming outgoing calls will be charged. This plan also comes with a free subscription to Wynk Music app. If the customer is currently subscribed to the Rs 399 postpaid plan with 10GB data, buying it again will initiate the 20GB data offering for customers.
Besides, Airtel has also revised the Infinity Rs 499 plan that now offers 40GB data per billing cycle, in addition to unlimited local, national, and roaming outgoing calls. The Airtel Infinity Rs 799 postpaid plan has also been upgraded to give 60GB data with unlimited calling benefits while the Rs 1,199 postpaid plan will give customers 90GB data with unlimited calls.
