The country’s largest software services exporter, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has been named as the top employer in Europe by Top Employers Institute for the third consecutive year, the IT major said in a statement on Monday.
TCS was ranked the overall number one in a process that assessed 688 organizations across Europe, the statement added.
The company, which had to be certified in at least five individual countries in Europe to be eligible for the award, has been certified by eight nations from the continent, in 2015. these include Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and the UK. In the assessment by the Top Employers Institute, TCS was recognised as an exceptional performer across nine core Human Resources (HR) areas like talent strategy, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, and organisational culture. “TCS has been able to prove that they focus on the employee work experience and have a highly consistent application of HR policy practice and alignment across all countries,” Top Employers Institute’s chief executive David Plink said.
“We believe that the main driver of satisfaction is our extremely talented workforce of 318,000 global professionals, and our relentless focus on hiring and retaining the best talent across Europe will continue,” added TCS’s executive vice president and global head of human resources, Ajoy Mukherjee.
