Tata group retail firm Trent today reported a standalone net profit of Rs 17.01 crore for the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2016.
Trent, which operates Westside, Star Bazaar and Landmark, had posted a net profit of Rs 11.44 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, company said in a BSE filing.
Its standalone net sales during the quarter under review was Rs 369.94 crore. It was Rs 322.07 crore in January-March quarter, a year ago.
Meanwhile, the company said that its results are not comparable as the previous year included net exceptional income.
“Standalone and consolidated results for current year are not comparable with previous year as previous year included net exceptional income of Rs 56.40 crore in standalone results and Rs 115.17 crore in consolidated results,” the company said.
For the entire 2015-16 fiscal, Trent’s consolidated net profit was at Rs 62.94 crore. It had reported a net profit of Rs 129.33 crore in 2014-15.
Its net sales were at Rs 2,353.27 crore in 2015-16. It was Rs 2,236.76 crore in 2014-15.
Shares of the company today settled at Rs 1,765.60 at BSE, down 2.25 per cent from previous close.
