Tata Motors finally seems to be getting a grip on its global sales. The carmaker was able to arrest the decline in global wholesale numbers in November 2014. Global wholesales, including those of Jaguar Land Rover, went up 2.4% in November 2014 to 83,906 vehicles compared with the year-ago period.
Cumulative wholesale for the fiscal, though, declined 7% to 62,7767 vehicles compared with the year-ago period.
Global wholesales of Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and the Daewoo range in November declined 3.2% to 30,233 vehicles. Cumulative commercial vehicle wholesales for the fiscal were down 19% to 246,597 vehicles.
For a change, global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in November 2014 were up 5.8% to 53,673 vehicles. Cumulative passenger vehicles wholesales for the fiscal were up 3.5% to 381,170 vehicles.
Global wholesales of only Tata Motors’ passenger vehicles in November 2014 surged 14% to 12,355 vehicles compared with the year ago.
However, cumulative wholesales were still down 16.7% for the fiscal to 82,814 vehicles compared with the year ago.
Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover in November were up 3.4% to 41,318 vehicles compared with the year ago.
