After hours Saket Saurabh, CEO, #fame
1. There are several things I love about my job. Every day is a new day. Start-ups are very demanding but also exciting. Start-ups are the only place where one must do strategy and tactics and think about everything from the big picture to the smallest detail in execution — almost within the same hour! Such diversity of experiences makes it a lot of fun, though it can be stressful at times. Because #fame is pioneering a new kind of consumption, building the live video entertainment category in India, there are many small goals to be achieved every day even as one tries relentlessly to build on the larger vision.
But then there are things I wish I could improve: the job doesn’t give me as much time with my family as I would like.
2 . I start my day by reading up online and consuming dailies along with the most important morning cup of tea. I am also trying to restart my morning run habit! I use mornings to respond to urgent emails or messages from my boss and colleagues. Once at work, it is a series of meetings, calls and emails. One doesn’t always know when the day will end and it usually doesn’t before 9 pm. And thanks to the phone, leaving office never means the end of the day’s play! I love chatting with family, watching news and surfing online before retiring for the day.
3. I spend time with my wife, Radhika, and daughter, Vedika. I go out sometimes, and also ensure I get some extra sleep. And I catch up on pending work too.
4. My phone. Used to be my iPad before it was hijacked by my daughter!
5. Apple, Nike, US Polo, Jack Daniels and CK
