Sonalika International Tractors Limited, the third largest tractor manufacturer in the country today announced here today that the company is targeting 19.5% market share in Punjab and 21.5% in Haryana this year, in comparison to 18.5% and 20.9% last year respectively.
D.L. Rana, Director, Sales and Marketing, Sonalika International Tractors Limited said here today that “currently, Sonalika International is No. 1 tractor player in Haryana and is aiming to become leader in Punjab as well. Punjab and Haryana, being the most important markets for Sonalika ITL, it has increased its market share from 14% to more than 20% in the region in last 4 years. Last year, Sonalika sold more than 12,000 tractors in Punjab and Haryana region. The company recently launched DI 750III HDM tractor which has become the most successful product in 55 HP categories in the region. Sonalika ITL has sold about 400 units of this tractor in Punjab and Haryana within 2 months of its launch. This product is considered to be the best combination of speed, power and mileage”.
Rana said that now Sonalika ITL plans to start operations at what is being viewed as world’s largest integrated tractor manufacturing plant in Hoshiarpur by 2016. The plant has a capacity to produce two lakhs tractors annually and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. It would have a single production line for all variants and models. The plant is equipped with robotic painting facility for both base coat and top coat, automated guided vehicle for assembly and materials feeding, fully-automatic test rigs for hydraulic lift and transmission testing and many other first-rate features.
Rana disclosed that Sonalika ITL has 100 dealers in Punjab and Haryana and more than 110 extended networks so as to provide best possible services to its customers. He said that the company has earned the trust of over six lakh patrons in more than 80 countries across the globe and is a leader in three countries.
