Yet another Snapdeal sale started today and this one is a 24-hour affair. In Snapdeal’s discounted deal bonanza, which is tagged as ‘The ultimate Monday Sale’, the e-retailer says prices have been slashed hugely with some discount offers going as deep as 80% – in short, the ongoing festive season discounts leading up to Diwali are continuing unabated to lure the hungry-for-shopping Indian buyer.

Snapdeal sale is slated to be as big an event as the previous ones it has held in recent weeks, which also saw top ecommerce rivals vie for the increasingly open wallet of the Indian consumer in both major and secondary townships.

Snapdeal says ‘The ultimate Monday sale’ will see new deals unlocked every hour from products across categories such as electronics, mobiles, home products and fashion.

“’The Ultimate Monday Sale’ promises to take the festive Snapdeal offers a notch higher from previous ones with the widest assortment of products and brands across electronics, fashion and home categories on sale,” Rahul Taneja, vice president category management, Snapdeal said.

Snapdeal offers were such a success last time around that the e-commerce major claimed that it saw 17 times growth in GMV during the ‘Electronics Monday Sale’ on October 12, which had discounts on smartphones, laptops, other electronics and home appliances. “We are well on track to reach $100 million sales on our Electronics Monday Sale,” added Taneja.
