Snapdeal expects rise in advertising revenue during festive season

Advertising revenues at India’s third largest ecommerce platform – Snapdeal Ads—are expected to see a spurt this festive season with vendors promoting products on the platform, Tony Navin, senior vice president - partnerships and strategic initiatives at Snapdeal, said.

“The advertising platform was launched in May and the number of sellers has been rising,” Navin said adding this would increase further in the next 2-3 months. Snapdeal Ads helps new sellers gain visibility among 3,00,000 sellers listed on its site. It helps sellers build targetted marketing campaigns and measure the impact. “For any new seller to gain traction on the platform with so many sellers you need to provide some avenue through which new as well as existing sellers can promote new products,” Navin said.
