Aakash Moondhra, chief financial officer at e-commerce major Snapdeal, has put in his papers.
Moondhra had been associated with Snapdeal since June 2012.
“Aakash has been a valuable member of our team and has played a key role in building Snapdeal. He is transitioning out from his current role as CFO to be able to pursue his other interests and passions,” a Snapdeal spokesperson said.
His next destination could not be ascertained.
Moondhra will continue to be associated with Snapdeal in an advisory role.
“My journey at Snapdeal has been very exciting and fruitful,” Moondhra said.
With about 20 years of experience, Moondhra contributed significantly to the growth of Snapdeal with USD 1 billion fund raising (four rounds), two bridge financings, multiple acquisitions and setting up the finance team.
Previously, he had worked with ANZ Grindlays Bank, Andersen Consulting, AT&T-US and Bharti Group.
He also helped a few companies raise capital and is on the board of V-Mart Retail as an Independent Director.
