Gurgaon-based bus aggregation platform Shuttl has roped in Snapdeal’s Amit Kumar Gupta as the head of engineering, the company said.
“Amit’s rich experience in making a personalised technology product will help Shuttl create an interactive transportation platform. His experience in past roles will be valuable for us ,” said Amit Singh, co-founder, Shuttl.
Gupta who has a decade of experience in the technology space was responsible for Snapdeal’s buyer platform, seller platform and data analytics platform. At Shuttl, Gupta will build full stack technology solution and will report to Deepanshu Malviya, one of the co-founders.
Launched in March 2015 Shuttl provides bus service from a fixed pick up point to a drop point claiming to be averaging around 15,000 rides per day across Delhi NCR. “Our shuttle service is a bit expensive than regular buses, but much cheaper than auto ride. We are targeting people who are tired of unreliable and crowded buses and expensive auto rides,” Singh said.
