Shareholders of Shriram Asset Management Company Limited at their Annual General Meeting held recently authorized the Board to issue further Capital of Rs. 10 Crores (Rupees Ten Crores) by way of Private Placement.

Mr. A. K Singh is the MD CEO of Shriram Asset Management Company. He is a B.Tech (IIT Kharagpur) and PGDM from IIM Bangalore with rich professional career of over 25 years out of which last 17 years have been in the Financial Services space. He has been associated with Shriram Group since 1994 as the President of Shriram City Union Finance Limited and later he took as Managing Director in the year 2000 till 2005.

Mr. Partha Ray is the CIO and Fund Manager with over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector. He is an alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur and IIM, Bangalore. He has held various senior level positions with HSBC, Citi Bank, Standard chartered and his last assignment was with Royal Bank of Scotland.

About Shriram Equity Debt Opportunities Fund

Shriram Equity Debt Opportunities Fund was launched in November 2013 and received a huge response from a large number of retail investors. The scheme is managed by Mr Partha Ray. The fund is primarily an open ended equity oriented asset allocation fund, with a flexibility to move between equity and debt based on the market outlook. The scheme shall maintain a minimum of 65% in equities at all points in time to provide investors the benefit of equity taxation. The balance stays put in the highest rated debt instruments to provide a fixed return and stability to the portfolio. Thus, investor gets the best of both worlds. The scheme is suited for investors with an objective to build long term wealth with a time horizon of 3 to 5 years.
